![]() BID Services | BID Services is a charity working across the Midlands and northern England delivering services and removing barriers to enable and empower those who are D/deaf, hard of hearing, sight impaired, deafblind or have other disabilities to live full lives. In Lincolnshire we support around 1,900 children, young people and adults yearly through our advice and support services and youth activities including our Chance to Meet service which our Lincoln Santa Fun Runners are supporting. Chance to Meet supports children, from birth to age 18, with sensory impairments with many also having additional needs. Children with sensory impairments often miss out on social, leisure and educational opportunities and family days out growing up as they can be inaccessible meaning they cannot experience the benefits these bring from building life skills to friendships. Through Chance to Meet, across Lincolnshire our members enjoy activities such as bowling, tennis, BBQs and daytrips, all tailored to their age and needs. Parents and siblings are encouraged to participate enabling families to enjoy quality time together. Chance to Meet is like an extended family and through our activities, children build life skills, friendships, a sense of identify and belonging and families come together to support one another. |

![]() Hope for Tomorrow Contact: kellycaple@hopefortomorrow.org.uk | Hope for Tomorrow provides mobile cancer care units for NHS trusts across England to enable them to treat cancer patients closer to home. The units allow the NHS to drive out to patients, saving them long, regular, and often disruptive journeys to hospital for their treatment. Our mobile cancer care units help patients fit their treatment into their lives, rather than having to fit their lives around their treatment. We make this happen by raising the funds and building the units for NHS trusts, allowing them to treat cancer patients in their local communities so that they don’t have to make regular trips to hospital. We provide the units, and the NHS nursing teams deliver the care. The units and nursing teams drive out to locations such as community hospitals or supermarket carparks and can treat over 20 patients a day. Our Lincolnshire unit travels to Skegness, Spalding and Louth. Each mobile unit costs approximately £300,000 to build and costs £212 a day to keep on the road. We look after all of these costs, including servicing and maintenance, so the NHS trusts can concentrate on doing what they do best – treating patients. Hope for Tomorrow receives no government funding. |
